Poroshenko allows policemen to shoot without warning in the ATO zone

The head of state signed the according law today

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko allowed Ukrainian law enforcement servicemen to shoot without warning in the antiterrorist operation zone.

Poroshenko signed the law “Regarding amendments to the law of Ukraine on police as to the conditions of employing force, special measures and gunfire in the antiterrorist operation zone.” It alls the law enforcement to use means of physical influence, special measures and gunfire without warning against those deemed to be terrorists under Ukrainian legislation.

The President’s press service added that the new document allows to increase security of police workers during the ATO and provide for more efficient neutralization of the terrorists.
