Internal Affairs: Shoygu in charge of the terrorists, transfer of weapons to Ukraine

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has irrefutable evidence that Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu is involved in transferring weapons to terrorists in Ukraine as well as co-ordinating the actions of various terrorist sub-units.

This was stated by an advisor to the Minister for Internal Affairs, Anton Herashchenko, during a briefing at the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center on July 23.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs has received irrefutable evidence of the direct involvement of the Russian Minister of Defense, Sergey Shoygu, in the transfer of weapons to the DNR and LNR terrorists, including Grad rocket launchers, tanks, artillery, etc,” – he said.

According to the UNIAN News Agency, Herashchenko emphasized that all responsibility for controlling the transfer of weapons and the co-ordination of the actions of various terrorist sub-units is in Shoygu’s hands.

“This has to do with the fact that the previous system of controlling the terrorists in Ukraine was proven to be ineffective.  Previously, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) partly controlled the terrorist groups, whereas the Main Intelligence Directorate of Russia (GRU) controlled the rest.  Recently, a decision was made to place responsibility with Shoygu for all the terrorists in Ukraine, as well as the transfer of the weapons,” he said.

Herashchenko stated that currently information is being checked to determine whether it was in fact Shoygu, who was co-ordinating the transfer of the Buk-1 surface-to-air missiles to the terrorists in order to enable them to shoot down Ukrainian airplanes.

According to Avakov’s advisor, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is going to propose that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and President Petro Poroshenko impose sanctions, including ban to enter Ukraine for the Russian officials and businessmen financing the terrorists and providing them with weapons and ammunition.

“At the top of the sanctions list is the Russian Defense Minister, Sergey Shoygu.  Moreover, he is involved with transferring weapons to the terrorists as well as making decisions concerning the training of the terrorists.  Currently, we have irrefutable proof of the fact that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is training the tank operators who are shooting at Ukrainian Servicemen,” said Herashchenko.

He remarked that the training of the tank operators is taking place in the Chertkovo and Kamenka villages in Russia.
As previously reported, employees of the Ukrainian law enforcement agency have initiated criminal proceedings against Russian Minister of Defense, Sergey Shoygu. This was stated by the Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov.
