Chairman of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast State Administration Igor Kolomoyskyiy offered the Head Commander of the Armed Forces Petro Poroshenko to immediately begin the construction of an enforced wall along the border with Russian on the territories of Donetsk, Luhansk and Kharkiv oblasts.
This was reported to “censor.net” by the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Administration.
The engineering project and technical-economical grounds was sent by the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast State Administration yesterday for approval to the President’s Administration. According to Kolomoyskyiy, “The Mannerheim line protected peaceful Finland from Stalin. Such a line should be built by Ukraine as well, in order to protect itself from Putin. The wall at the Israeli border allows them to effectively counter terrorist attacks.”
The project sent to “censor.net” for review presumes the establishment of a wholesome metal fence made out of highly durable steel and barbed wire within 5-6 months.
The approaches to the fence should be blocked by trenches and barbed wire bother from the Russian and the Ukrainian side, in order to prevent peaceful civilians and animals from accessing the fence. The width and depth of the trenches should provide for their inaccessibility for transport and armoured machinery.
The distance between the trenches and the fence, closed for penetration by passers-by, should be mined completely with signal and anti-artillery mines.
The metallic fans may be charged with electricity.
The fence will be covered by motorised manoeuvred groups of the Ukrainian army, border workers and the National Guard. With the presence of such capital constructions, the Ukrainian armed forces will be able to effectively cut the terrorists off from their Russian bases and stop the influx of mercenaries, weapons and ammunition through the border.
The cost of establishing a metal fence along the 1920 kilometres of the state border will constitute about 50 million Euros. The overall cost of engineering works in creating such a fence will constitute no more than 100 million Euro. All the work will be done by Ukrainian companies.
The charity fund “Dnepr-1” is ready to finance a significant part of the engineering work in creating such a fence. With state financial support and President Petro Poroshenko’s approval, the fund “Dnipro-1” is ready to execute the entire volume of the aforementioned work and build the enforced line for the state border on the territory of three oblasts within 5-6 months. To realise the project, the approval of the High Commander is needed.
