The Ministry of Finance Reported UAH 7bn for the Needs of the Army


The Ukrainian Ministry of Finance reported regarding the distribution of additional financing on a sum of UAH 7,1bn given by the Parliament from the Reserve Fund of the State Budget to the defence sphere. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance.
Out of the distributed sum, UAH 4,7bn have been given to the Ministry of Defence, 2,3bn to the National Guard and 143,9mn – to the National Border Service. 
In particular, UAH 3,7bn were directed by the Ministry of Finance for the purchase, modernisation and renovation of military equipment and weapons, as well as the provision of the soldiers with communication means, UAH 1,7bn – for the provision of fuel materials, spare parts and equipment servicing.
Meanwhile almost UAH 1,1bn is given for the monetary provision of the soldiers, notes the report.
According to the press service, about UAH 600mn have been directed by the Ministry for the provision of the soldiers with rations, medicine and material property, as well as for the payment of transportation services and training assemblies.
As is reported by UNIAN, it is planned to buy 22 armoured personnel carriers BTR-3E for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the National Guard, the government is giving UAH 100mn for their purchase.
As has been reported, the Ministry of Finance, grounded in the petitions of the soldiers regarding financing, evaluates their needs at UAH 12bn.
