8 masked people bearing bats came to the editorial office of the site 62.ua and made demands as to coverage of the so-called ‘People’s Republic of Donetsk’, the site’s chief editor Roman Lazorenko explained in an comment for ‘Novosti Donbasa’.

“They presented themselves as representatives of the ‘People’s Republic of Donetsk’. They wore bullet-proof vests, masks, and were armed with bats. One was in plain clothes, said he was Dmitriy Sylakov. Sylakov made a list of demands to the editors of the site, including: to not call the people who seized the building of the Donetsk Regional State Administration separatists, and to have any information regarding the activities of the so-called ‘People’s republic of Donetsk’ approved by their representatives prior to publication. They also demanded to post the number of the card to which donations are collected for the needs of these people,” said Lazorenko.

According to the journalist, the editors stated that they may not fulfill these requirements, upon which Sylakov said that it was “urgently recommended” to do so.
