Russian military invasion to Eastern Ukraine has already taken place

Military reconnaissance and sabotage units and not separatists acting in Sloviansk and Chervoniy Lyman (Donetsk Oblast), informs former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Admiral Igor Kabanenko, on his FB page.

“Russia’s invasion in the East has already occurred. In Sloviansk and Chervoniy Lyman not separatists, but military reconnaissance and sabotage units are acting. The handwriting is clear. They ‘help’ the separatists in exacerbating the situation. Do we really need to ask rhetorical questions: “will this continue and spread?” he said.

In turn, Dmytro Tymchuk, head of the ‘Information Resistance’ group, said that current extremist actions in South-Eastern Ukraine are initiated and managed by a network of coordinators from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of Russia’s Armed Forces.

“Russian Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) staff carrying out the scenario to seize authorities and block Ukrainian military units in Crimea in March 2014 were identified. Earlier, groups of these Main Intelligence employees were removed from Crimea to Rostov-on-Don,” he said.

Also, Tymchuk notes that the aim of current activites is to to capture as many local government buildings and law enforcement agencies until April 17, when a meeting of representatives from Ukraine, EU, USA, and Russia will take place in Geneva in order to resolve the crisis in Ukraine.

“By Russia’s plan, this will allow Russia to claim that the Ukrainian government do not control the situation and that it is illegitimate in the eyes of a considerable part of the population,” he added.
