Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov reports that Party of Regions’ National Deputy Yuriy Ivaniushchenko is involved in the murder of activists of Maidan on February 18. The murderer of journalist Veremiya received his bullets in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Avakov also said that on the night of February 18, five more people were killed.

“Zubrytskiy was coordinating actions on February 18th when Ministry of Interior Affairs units attacked all over Maidan… then it was decided to redeploy combat troops, including titushkas and others in the direction of St. Michael’s Square,” said Avakov.

“Chebotar, Sarkisian, aka “Armen Gorlovskiy”, and someone named Krysin – the leader of an organized crime group of raiders in Kyiv – made the appropriate decisions and gathered two groups of titushkas in St. Michael’s Square. These groups were based in the district office of one of the deputies aka “Yenakievskiy”, said Avakov.

“Armen Gorlovskyy brought people out of there as this was their base. There was an armed group of bandits, they were given weapons and ammunition,” – he said.

“The exceptional cynicism of the situation is that Veremiya’s killer, who immediately shot him and there is a video proof of this, a half hour before the murder was outside of Bohomoltsia St. 10 in MIA where he received shields, ammunition, and allegedly a weapon from an MIA employee,” said Avakov.

“These employees’ identities have been proven; the data will be made public as soon as prosecutors make the appropriate decision,” he said.

The Party of Regions legislator Yuriy Ivaniushchenko is nicknamed “Yuriy Yenakievskiy” – a reference to the town of Yenakievo, where ex-president Viktor Yanukovych was from.
