“If I am elected, I will sell Roshen. As the President of Ukraine, I want to and will take care solely of the country’s wellbeing”, the politician said. Commenting on Yulia Tymoshenko’s running for the post of the President, Poroshenko stated that she “must have understood that after Maidan’s numerous victims, Ukrainians have woken up in a new country that deserves new mentality and new politicians”.

Speaking about Russia, Poroshenko expressed the opinion that Putin would not dare to try to invade the Eastern regions of Ukraine. However, he also noted that, “great danger is still there”. “If they attack the east of Ukraine, we will defend it by all possible military means,” Poroshenko stressed. He also emphasized the importance of the West’s reaction concerning Russia’s policy about Ukraine in the form of sanctions. “To my mind, it would be right if Germany boycotted Russian gas imports until Russia ended the invasion of Crimea”, the politician stated.
