Nalyvaichenko suspects FSB in Kyiv massacres

According to the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Nalyvaichenko, there is reason to believe that Russia’s FSB was involved in the mass killings in Kyiv. He spoke about this at a news conference on Thursday.

According to Nalyvajchenko, after 20 December 2013, 26 FSB of the Russian Federation were at the SSU’s firing range of SSU, and in mid-January 2014 there were six people.

The head of the SSU asks the Russian government to explain what they were doing there, their ranks, and positions. “We have reasonable grounds to believe that these groups located at one of the SSU’s firing ranges participated in planning and implementing the activities of the so-called anti-terrorist operation,” said Nalyvaichenko. According to him, these Russian groups, on the personal orders of then-head of the SSU, Oleksandr Yakymenko, were provided with accommodation, security, and even visits by government officials.

“Several times, Yakymenko personally came to report to these groups,” said the chairman of the SSU. “For us it is important that we can pass motivated and legal responses of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation to our General Prosecutor: the composition of these groups, their rank and most importantly – what they did,” – said Nalyvaichenko.

The head of the SSU added that after 20 January 2014, transport aircraft from Chkalovsk, Russian Federation, landed at the airports of Hostomel and Zhuliany airports. These aircrafts brought 5100 kg of explosives, special equipment and additional weapons for the killings of protesters on Maidan,
