Poroshenko takes the lead in the presidential race

According to data from a survey conducted by SOCIS, KIIS, Rating, and Rozumkov Centre, Petro Poroshenko clearly leads in the presidential rating with more than twice as high a percentage as Vitali Klitschko and Yulia Tymoshenko.

According to reports, Ukrainians currently show very high level of electoral interest, with about 84 % of voters willing to participate in elections.

In the presidential election, 24.9 % of respondents are ready to support Poroshenko, 8.9%- Vitali Klitschko, and 8.2% – Yulia Tymoshenko.

7.3% support Sergei Tigipko, 4.2%.ex- governor of Kharkiv Mikhaylo Dobkin.

Petro Symonenko would receive 3.6 % of votes, Oleg Liashko – 3.5%, Anatoly Hrytsenko – 3.2 %.

Nationalist Oleh Tiahnybok would have 1.7%, and Dmitro Yarosh – 0.9 %.

Among those who intend to vote, the top five would look like this: Poroshenko – 36.2 %, Klitschko – 12.9 %, Tymoshenko – 12.0 %, Tigipko and Dobkin – 10.0 % and 5 3%, respectively.

About 20 % of voters are not yet sure who to vote for or will not to go elections.

9.7% would vote “against all” candidates.

In the second round Poroshenko is also a confident winner against major competitors.

Against Klitschko: Poroshenko gets 42.9 %, and Klitschko – 15.3 %.

Against Tymoshenko, Poroshenko gets 46.3 % versus 11.6% for Tymoshenko.

Poroshenko – Tigipko: 50.8 % and 14.4 %, respectively.

The survey was held on March 14-19, 2014 among adults.

A representative sample of 6200 respondents (1550 respondents in each of sociological centers) in all regions of Ukraine (excluding the population of Crimea).

Method: Personal interviews formalized according to the questionnaire (face to face) at the residence of the respondent

The statistical margin of error – no more than 0.8%
