Crimean parliament already decided Crimea is Russia

On Thursday, March 6th, the Crimean parliament, without asking the Crimean people, decided that Crimea is Russia, reports TSN.
At a closed session the Crimean MP’s voted for the joining of the autonomy to Russia and have already addressed Putin and the Gosduma with the proposal to begin the process of the unification.
The order regarding the joining of the Crimea to Russia, just like all of their latest decisions, was made behind closed doors by the Crimean parliament with the protection of armed Russian special forces. Journalists were not even invited to the Verkhovna Rada, as well as oppositional MP’s.

The video from the session was later posted by the press service of the Crimean Parliament. The Vice Prime Minister Rustam Temirgaliev informed during a press conference that 78 out of 81 MP’s voted for the joining of the Crimea with Russia and the execution of a referendum on March 16th. According to him, in case the Crimeans vote “no,” the MP’s will relinquish their mandates. But it looks like nobody is doubting the will of the people in the Parliament.

Temirgaliev said that at the moment there is a big group of Russian experts working on the peninsula, who are preparing the Crimean joining of Russia. The Ukrainian army in the Crimea were called “occupants” by him.

The Madjlis head of the Crimean Tatars Refat Chubarov called for the Crimeans to boycott the referendum, as it will only serve to further destabilise the situation in the Crimea. According to him, the current “government” is preparing to falsify referendum results.

“In order to somehow legitimise their illegitimate actions, they gave stern recommendations and orders, that no less than 30% of Tatars enter the committee, so that they can later say that it corresponds with everyone’s will. And second, considering the fact that they claim not to have access to definitive lists of the voting registry, the heads of the local government were given orders to make these lists,” informed Chubarov. – TSN.ua.
