Ternopil in mass protests: police station burms

ImageIn Ternopil outraged protesters set the city police department on fire and stormed the regional administration.  Windows in the building have been knocked out, Molotov cocktails are flying there, according to local publication “Doba”.

Meanwhile, people actively dismantle pavement. In addition police vehicles have been toppled. Tires are being taken off cars and thrown into the fire. Initially, firefighters were not allowed to come to the place of events, but now, according to eyewitnesses, flames have reached the second floor. Therefore, the rescuers were let through to extinguish the flames.

As Ternopil media reports, the police that were brought out of the building were forced to stand on their knees. Clashes also continue at the Regional Administration. Svoboda party member Oleksandr  Aronets reports on his Facebook page that protesters in Ternopil have occupied the Prosecutor’s office in Ternopil and are burning “all proceedings against Ukrainian heroes”.
